1. Do we use cookies?
The service www.mamiqa.online does not use analytics tools or profiling systems — you will not find Google Analytics, Meta pixels, social plugins or retargeting here. We do not pass data about your activity to data brokers.
We do use Google advertising cookies, which fund free access to the guides and keep the service running (Google AdSense). They are stored in your browser only after you give consent in the consent management window — until then, ads are not displayed. You can withdraw consent at any time (section 5); the legal bases and the recipients of the data are described in the Privacy Policy.
In addition, our hosting provider and CDN network may store technical cookies that are necessary for security and load balancing (section 4) — these do not require consent.
2. Browser local storage (localStorage)
The web version available at www.mamiqa.online/app stores your data in the browser’s local storage (localStorage) — a mechanism built into the browser which, unlike cookies, is not sent to the server automatically. We store only:
- your pregnancy week setting and the way it is calculated,
- diary entries, notes and questions for your appointment,
- ticked checklist items and your own checklists,
- saved kick counter and contraction timer sessions,
- weight, mood and hydration measurements,
- favourite baby names,
- interface preferences (for example the active tab).
This data is never sent anywhere — it stays in your browser and we have no access to it. It is essential for the features you use, so it does not require consent. You can delete it at any time (section 5).
3. Google advertising cookies (AdSense)
Ads in the Service are delivered by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google stores cookies in your browser and reads device identifiers in order to deliver an ad, measure its display and protect against abuse. Ads in Mamiqa are non-personalized: we do not use an advertising identifier (IDFA) and we do not pass Google any information about your pregnancy week, your health or your diary entries.

The exact set of names and lifetimes is decided by Google and may change — the current information is published in the types of cookies used by Google and in the information for partner sites. You can also turn ads off globally in Google Ads Settings.
The legal basis for storing these cookies is your consent (Article 173 of the Polish Electronic Communications Act and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You give and withdraw consent in the consent management window that opens on your first visit; withdrawing consent is just as easy as giving it and does not restrict access to the content.
4. Server logs and hosting
The site is static and served by an external hosting provider. In connection with handling HTTP requests, the provider may process standard technical data in server logs: IP address, date and time of the request, URL, User-Agent header and information about errors. These are used solely to ensure the security and correct operation of the infrastructure. The legal basis and the retention period are described in the Privacy Policy.
The CDN mechanism we use may store technical cookies that are necessary to protect against abuse (for example traffic security verification) or to balance load. They are not used for profiling or advertising.
5. How do I delete locally stored data and withdraw consent?
- In the app: settings → clear data. This deletes all entries immediately and irreversibly.
- In the web version: clear the site data in your browser settings (in Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data; in Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → Site data).
- Ad consent: open the consent management window (the “Manage ads consent” link in the site footer) and choose again. You can also turn ads off in Google Ads Settings and at aboutads.info.
- Private / incognito mode: data stored in a private session is deleted automatically when the session ends.
Note: if you clear your local data, we will not be able to restore it — we keep no copy of it.
6. Links to third-party sites
The Service contains links to external services (the App Store, Apple websites) and advertising content delivered by Google. Once you follow them, those entities’ own terms and cookie policies apply — we have no influence over their mechanisms or over the way they process data.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the data storage mechanisms we use, the law or market practice change. If we introduce a new tool that requires consent (for example analytics), we will update this document and put a mechanism for giving and withdrawing consent in place before it goes live.
